Mouthguard

The mouthguard is a removable semi-flexible device that protects the teeth and lips and reduces intensity of impacts that can cause concussions, neck injuries and mandibular fractures, the most common injuries sustained in various contact sports (boxing, hockey, football, football etc.).

In children and adolescents, the mouthguard should be checked by a professional every 6 months since mouth morphology changes rapidly. In adults, it should be checked every year.

A custom-made mouthguard can be obtained at the clinic using impressions of your mouth. Custom-made mouthguards are better suited to one’s oral structure. They offer great stability and allow athletes to breathe more easily.
